At photoSCHWEIZ 2026, the photoSCHOOL will once again become a place of focused learning and creative exchange. I am pleased to announce that I will be present as a lecturer, offering two exclusive events during the exhibition week. A four-hour Masterclass and a two-hour Workshop will provide in-depth and hands-on insights into black-and-white portrait photography.
photoSCHWEIZ and the photoSCHOOL
photoSCHWEIZ is one of Switzerland’s most important platforms for contemporary photography, bringing together photographers, visual artists and an interested public each year. It creates space for dialogue, inspiration and new perspectives within the photographic medium.
The photoSCHOOL is an integral part of the exhibition, offering a curated educational programme directly within the fair. Workshops and masterclasses allow participants to deepen their skills and engage with photographic topics in a concentrated and practice-oriented way.
Exclusive Black & White Portrait Masterclass

This four-hour Masterclass is an exclusive photoSCHOOL event led by me at photoSCHWEIZ 2026. The focus lies on black-and-white portrait photography, a genre that demands a refined understanding of light, expression, form and reduction.
Together we will explore both conceptual and technical approaches, analyse images and discuss how to create strong, timeless portraits beyond colour. The masterclass is aimed at photographers who wish to refine their visual language and deepen their portrait work. Further detailed information about the content will follow.

The two-hour Workshop is also an exclusive event within the photoSCHOOL programme at photoSCHWEIZ 2026. It offers a compact and focused introduction to black-and-white portraiture, with an emphasis on seeing light, working with contrast and making conscious compositional decisions.
This workshop is ideal for photographers seeking fresh inspiration or a structured refresher that can be directly applied to their own photographic practice.
