The 10th edition of my PORTRAIT MAGAZINE is a quiet invitation to slow down and look more closely. Three cities, three people, three distinct atmospheres – connected through black and white, reduction, and intimacy. This issue is about presence, attitude, and the subtle trust between me and the person in front of my camera.
A Magazine as a Space
For me, this magazine is not a collection of images, but a space. A place where portraits are allowed to breathe, without explanation, without distraction. Black and white helps me let go of everything unnecessary and focus entirely on expression, gaze, and body language. Every page is placed with intention, every sequence tells its own quiet story.
Venice – Quiet Proximity
Venice with Annika is shaped by restraint. The city feels almost like a distant thought – present, yet subtle. Annika moves calmly through rooms and narrow streets, and it is precisely this calm that gives the images their depth. It was never about locations, but about in-between moments – about pauses, glances, and what remains unspoken.
Milan – Elegance Without Pose
In Elegance in Milan with Maguette, clarity was at the centre. Milan is structured, almost строг, and this structure intensified Maguette’s presence even more. Elegance here is not created by styling, but by attitude. By awareness. By the conscious act of standing, walking, simply being in front of the camera.
Paris – Autumn Melancholy
Paris in Autumn with Anne-Sophie may be the most emotional part of this issue. Autumn brings a certain softness, a quiet melancholy. Anne-Sophie absorbed this atmosphere without performing it. The images emerged slowly, almost carefully, carried by time and mutual trust.

The 10th edition of PORTRAIT MAGAZINE stands for what matters most to me in portrait photography: genuine connection. No staging for the sake of aesthetics, no visual noise. Instead, reduction, perception, and the belief that a human presence alone is enough.
