In collaboration with model Audé, I captured these evocative black-and-white images in my Zurich photo studio. My vision was to create something mystical—like a fleeting apparition emerging from the darkness. The veil became a central element, shrouding Audé in an enigmatic aura, hinting at both revelation and concealment.

These photographs are intriguing because they leave so much unsaid. The interplay of light and shadow draws you in, letting your imagination wander. Is she retreating into the shadows or stepping forward into the light? The textures of the veil add layers of complexity, distorting and enhancing the human form, making you look closer and wonder what lies beneath.

For me, these images are more than portraits—they’re a dialogue between mystery and emotion, inviting you to explore the beauty of the unknown. What do you see when you look at them?
