This story continues where “A Quiet Venetian Moment” began. Dayane and I returned to that same soft light and quiet mood — a moment suspended between calm and courage. We had arrived in Venice a day before my photography course started, and the city gifted us with perfect weather and gentle light. It felt only natural to step outside with the camera once more and let the afternoon unfold.
Standing on the small balcony, Dayane faced her fear of heights with admirable serenity. There was a stillness in the air, broken only by the distant sounds of the canals below. The low sun brushed along the buildings, and the bright walls across the alley reflected just enough light to soften every shadow. It was as if Venice itself had decided to lend us its calm.
The black-and-white tones amplify this sense of timeless peace. They strip away distraction and invite the viewer to feel the light, the texture, and the quiet confidence in Dayane’s expression.
With this second part, I invite you to rediscover our story — to step back into that Venetian balcony and share once again in the simplicity and stillness of that beautiful afternoon.
