We had arrived in Venice a day before my photography course started, and the city gifted us with perfect weather and gentle light. It felt only natural to step outside with the camera once more and let the afternoon unfold.

Standing on the small balcony, Dayane faced her fear of heights with admirable serenity. There was a stillness in the air, broken only by the distant sounds of the canals below.
