My photography classes are an invitation to pause. To step out of routine and return to what truly matters in portrait photography: perception, presence, and the relationship between you and the person in front of your camera. These classes are not about recipes or shortcuts. They are about learning to see more clearly and to work with intention.
Why I Teach This Way
Over the years, I’ve learned that meaningful portraits don’t come from control, but from attention. From listening. From allowing moments to unfold instead of forcing them.
“A strong portrait is not taken. It is allowed to happen.”
In my classes, I create a calm and focused space where you can explore exactly that — your way of seeing, your way of connecting, your way of translating emotion into images.

Portrait Intense Class
In this class, I focus on storytelling through portrait series. I believe that the real strength of photography often doesn’t lie in a single image, but in the dialogue between images. In the Portrait Intense Class, we work on building coherent, emotionally grounded photo series that go beyond the surface and allow a deeper narrative to unfold.
Over four days, I guide you through the entire process — from the initial idea to the final selection. We work closely with two models and a very small group, which allows for depth, concentration, and honest exchange. Every image matters, but even more so the relationship between the images. We look at rhythm, tension, consistency, and emotional clarity.
Language: German / English
Participants: maximum 5
Models: 2 models
Duration: 4 days
Next course: March 26–29, 2026
Location: Venice, Italy
This class is intense by design. It asks for commitment, openness, and the willingness to question your own habits. In return, it offers clarity — in how you tell stories, how you work with people, and how you give your images a stronger, more conscious voice.
Portrait Passion Class
The Portrait Passion Class is a two-day immersion into my world of black and white portrait photography. We begin in a relaxed atmosphere, allowing everyone to arrive, connect, and shift into a focused but calm working mode.
Over the two days, I share my approach to portrait and people photography — from preparation and mindset to working with a model, communication, and creative decision-making. We explore how images are created during a shoot, how collaboration influences expression, and how clarity emerges through image selection and post-processing. The class is designed to give you a complete and honest insight into my way of working, without pressure and without shortcuts.
Language: German
Participants: maximum 5
Models: 1 model
Duration: 2 days
Date: 2026 date will follow
Location: Zurich / Dietikon, Switzerland
This class is about grounding yourself. About slowing down enough to notice when a portrait starts to feel honest.
Portrait Gourmet Class
The Portrait Gourmet Class is a three-day photography course for advanced photographers who want to deepen their portrait work while immersing themselves in atmosphere, place, and exceptional food. In Lugano, we move away from tourist paths and into quieter, more authentic corners that invite calm observation and focused photographic work.
During these three days, we work with two professional models, creating both planned and spontaneous portraits. The focus is on natural light, evocative locations, and a conscious reduction to what truly matters — expression, composition, and atmosphere. I encourage you to work attentively, to trust simplicity, and to let images grow out of presence rather than control.
Language: German / English
Participants: maximum 5
Models: 2 models
Duration: 3 days
Date: June 5–7, 2026
Location: Lugano, Switzerland
Culinary experiences are an integral part of the class. Seasonal dishes, fresh ingredients from the organic garden, and fine local wines create shared moments beyond photography. These meals offer space for exchange, reflection, and inspiration, allowing genuine connection to emerge — with the place, with others, and with your own work
Here, we take time. Time to photograph, time to reflect, time to talk about images and intention. I see this class as a photographic retreat — a place where your visual language can mature without pressure.
Portrait Photocamp
The Photography Camp is a space for deep engagement — with your work, with your questions, and with the direction you want to take as a photographer. Over four days, I accompany you closely and personally, drawing from many years of experience working with photographers in an intensive workshop setting.
We explore portrait and people photography together, always with the intention of expanding your photographic horizon. A central part of this camp is reflection. We look at your existing work, talk openly about where you stand, what you want to express, and how you can move your photography forward with more clarity and confidence. These conversations are as important to me as the time we spend photographing.
The small group allows for depth and honesty. With two models and a maximum of five participants, there is enough space to work intensely, to ask questions, and to receive thoughtful feedback. The atmosphere is focused but open — supportive rather than competitive.
Language: German
Participants: maximum 5
Models: 2 models
Duration: 4 days
Next course: August 20–23, 2026
Location: Safien, Switzerland
This Photocamp is not about doing more. It’s about understanding better — your intention, your visual language, and the direction your photography wants to take next.
What You Take With You
My classes are not designed to impress you with complexity. They are meant to simplify. To help you trust your intuition, read people more clearly, and understand why certain images stay while others fade.
If you’re looking for louder techniques, these classes may not be for you. But if you’re looking for clarity, depth, and a more conscious way of working with people, then this journey might resonate with you.
Photography, for me, has always been about connection. That is exactly what I aim to pass on.
