When I look back at this series with Aliena, I remember how naturally everything came together. She has always struck me as a very grounded and warm person, which makes working with her not only easy but also inspiring. In 2020, I asked her if she would join me for a project with my Volvo Amazon, a car that holds a special place in my heart. For the setting, I chose a parking garage – a space that at first glance may seem ordinary, but that day revealed itself as full of possibilities.

The combination of the old Volvo, the clean lines of the architecture, and the shifting light filtering through the structure created a stage of contrasts. Brightness and shadow alternated in sharp edges, and I wanted to use this to give the images a raw yet elegant mood. Against this backdrop, Aliena appeared strong and self-assured, but at the same time approachable and authentic.

For me, this series is not just about a car and a location. It is about the encounter with someone whose personality shines through the photographs, balancing between strength and simplicity. The interplay of steel, light, and human presence made this editorial a very personal journey into the essence of timeless portraits.
