Working with Layla has been a truly inspiring experience for me. She first caught my attention during a test shooting, where her natural presence in front of the camera immediately convinced me. Despite being such a young model, she already radiates a maturity and sensitivity that makes every image powerful. This new series was an opportunity to deepen our collaboration, and I am glad to have continued building on that promising beginning.
In these portraits, I wanted to capture her quiet strength. The way she carries herself, with a subtle elegance and a touch of introspection, unfolds beautifully in black and white. The reduced tones highlight her soft expressions and the natural flow of her hair, while the lighting adds a fine contrast that emphasizes her delicate features. The overall effect is one of calmness and depth, as if Layla invites the viewer into a silent conversation.
Some of these photographs have found their way into smaller magazines, which is a great recognition of her talent and the timeless mood of this series. For me, it is a reminder that even at the beginning of a career, authenticity and presence can create something lasting.
