Contact Sheets: The intense shot with Chiara

Welcome to this exclusive behind-the-scenes insight into one of my recent portrait sessions with model Chiara, photographed in natural daylight at my studio in Zurich. In this article, I share the story behind the shoot, my approach to working with available light, and the process I use to make a final image selection—drawing inspiration from classic analog contact sheets.

You’ll learn why a particular image stood out emotionally and how small changes in expression and pose can dramatically influence the overall impact of a portrait.
